The complexity of this specific issue and the lack of expertise in the field of water treatment from the medical industry has prompted the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare to carry out a review of the sections covering water quality and monitoring in AS/NZS 4187 to provide some guidance to health service organisations.
